You know you have reached perfection of design not when you have nothing more to add, but when you have nothing more to take away – Antoine de Saint Exupery
The Small House Society is a burgeoning movement in the United States, sprouting up as a counterpoint to the McMansion blight and other monstrosities of the cul-de-sac lifestyle. Consider the tiny Tumbleweed housing solution created by an equally tiny design company in Sebastopol, California.
If we are indeed capable of turning the housing crisis on its side, it seems that we would consider the view beyond our windows to have as much intrinsic value, if not more than, the shells that we hastily adopt. Consider downsizing your home as a means to live more upscale in the long run.
