Greetje Van Tiem's Newspaper Yarn

Posted on: Monday, October 29, 2007

In honor of Dutch Design Week, I wanted to highlight the resourceful and stunning work of Greetje Van Tiem. The artist Van Tiem claims that she can make twenty yards of yarn from each deconstructed newspaper page. The textured, multi-colored yarn can be woven into carpets, curtains, and upholstery.

The Arrival of Our Twins

Posted on: Tuesday, October 16, 2007

My husband Ludmil and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our twin boys in New York City on the 10th of October, 2007.

Jasper Orlando Doan Pandeff was born at 4:07 am.

Oliver Orfeo Trevor Pandeff was born at 4:08 am.

Everyone is very healthy, and we are thrilled by these new additions to our family. This will be a quiet time for the blog, but postings will still occur periodically over the next few weeks.

The above image is a carved stone sculpture by my Iranian artist friend, Ahmad Nadalian.
