Maya Lin's new exhibition, Systematic Landscapes, opens at the De Young Museum in San Francisco today. Lin's assemblage of drawings, sculpture, and undulating installations just might be the polar opposite of the Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion. The De Young states, "In recent years, Lin has focused on a reconsideration of landscape in a time of ecological tension and change. This new body of work engages the issue of our fragile connection to the environment in timely and poetic ways." Systematic Landscapes is on view through January 18, 2009.
