There is something about being on the road that makes you pine for the perfect nest and abode. I recently came across these images of a prefabricated geodesic dome in Ojai, California and instantly wanted to put down roots. The images are from an old issue of House and Garden and were submitted to design:related by Matt Sung. Assembled by Shawn Hausman and Jessica Kimberley, the dome is 44 feet in diameter and 22 feet high. It is perched on a wood deck using concrete footings for support. It's a sunny spacious jewel of geometry and retro expansiveness.
