This Crowded Planet by Carol D. Westfall

Throughout the week I will be featuring the work of fellow artists from the current exhibition, Knitted, Knotted, Netted. There will be an artist reception and informal discussion at The Hunterdon Museum of Art this Sunday, October 18 for anyone who is in the Clinton, New Jersey area. It's a lovely town and an amazing historic site, so please join us if you are out enjoying the autumn colors.

Carol D. Westfall

"The Crowded Planet series is composed of hundreds of tiny "men" - the stick figures we drew as children. If you take the top two arms and pull them together you create the kanji character for man - nin or jin or hito. I compress all these tiny "men" together and form the ball which is This Crowded Planet. There are probably 120 in the series now as I have been working on them for 13 years!" - Carol D. Westfall
