Doubled: Death Be Not Proud by Pat Hickman

Pat Hickman Workshop at The Hunterdon Art Museum

OPENINGS: Knotted and Knotless Netting Workshop
DATE: Sunday, November 15
TIME: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
LOCATION: Hunterdon Art Museum

This workshop taught by artist, Pat Hickman, whose work is featured in the exhibition, Knitted, Knotted, Netted, will encourage participants to explore visual ideas suggested through openwork textile structure, primarily that of knotted and knotless netting. Reserving space for air and what is "not there" will be built into conceptually based quick studies and short studio projects. The workshop is less a "how to," more an experience in discovery and ongoing ways of working. No previous knowledge of these non-loom textile structures is required, just a willingness to explore and learn. A materials list will be provided upon registration. Participants are advised to bring lunch to the workshop. For more information or to register, please call the Museum at 908-735-8415.

Class is limited to 12. Tuition: $120 (non-members); $100 (members)

*Knitted, Knotted, Netted is on view through January 24, 2010
