Faces and Places in Fashion Talk at FIT on May 16

Posted on: Wednesday, May 11, 2011

I will be speaking at FIT on Monday, May 16th as part of their Face and Places in Fashion lecture series. Although the lecture is geared to FIT students, the public is invited to attend free of charge. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis, though. The talk will take place between 4pm and 5pm, with a Q&A session for the latter portion of the presentation. The topic will be 'fashioning self and the environment'.

"FIT’s 'Faces & Places in Fashion' lecture series is a forum for prominent fashion professionals, including executives, designers and marketers to discuss their trade, their experience, and their perspective on the business.  Part presentation, part Q&A, it is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in a conversational setting. Held in the Katie Murphy Amphitheater (D Building, Corner of 27th Street and 7th Avenue) on Mondays from 4pm-5pm."

(There is currently a typo on FIT's website with Joanne DePalma listed as the speaker for May 16th. Ms. De Palma already gave her talk on May 9th.)
