Cave Collective's sculptural (wearable) objects
I was so happy to review the latest installation/performance project by friends Alex and Cat at Cave Collective for The WILD Magazine. They are certainly artists/designers to watch in terms of their ability to intelligently and thoughtfully bridge creative disciplines and media.
Their latest performative project, 'Weave of Dawn, might be described the following way:
"Cave Collective’s latest synesthesia experiment reflects the duo’s ongoing fascination with collectively exploring sensory and cognitive realities via light, color, and immersive tactile experiences. The mesmerizing fabrics attached to the net were all hand-dyed with natural materials that the artists alchemically concoct in the studio. The two artists communicated solely through light and vibrating sound played on ritualistic, metallic objects."

I am also very excited that Cave Collective will also be contributing materials from their studio to 'Lost in Fiber: The Gathering'. A studio visit with the duo is coming soon.
