Catherine Lauigan is a multimedia artist based in Los Angeles. She was the creator of the atmospheric soundtrack, Desert Air, which debuted as part of my May 2015 installation and performative event, Tumbleweed Colony at the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, NY.  I asked Catherine (Cat) to share some words, terms, visuals linked to what was drifting through her world while creating this soundscape, and she shared the following:

fissure
stillness
heavy air
undulating
crevices
bend
curve
gradation
loud silence
dry earth

Thank you, Catherine, for being such an inspiring artist to collaborate with.

See you during the next desert hike or urban drift.
